My music producer boyfriend who plays an electric guitar but never had a bass, appreciated this gift a lot. He said the sound quality is very good, and from what I can see the assembly of this instrument looks good. It is easy to tune, the price absolutely matches the quality of this guitar. This is a great guitar, especially at this price. Needed minimal setup out ofthe box and was ready to play. Nice tone and build quality is decent. My only complaint is that it is incredibly light weight for a bass.

Bought for sons 8th birthday and during lessons all his tutors comment in what a nice bass guitar this is. He has had it for an over a year and although he has dropped it and banged it by accident on the drums kits a few times in the studio it is still looking good and sounding great. Full size though, it is big and rather heavy so perhaps I should have bought a smaller one to start with ?????♀?

Comfortable neck, versatile sound (active electronics!), easy to handle. If anybody asks me what to buy for a first bass guitar, I wouldn't hesitate to point them at this one. I really like it and serves me well. I am using it for home recordings, so I can't say anything about on-stage experience. But this should do it fine ;-)
