I am completely new to guitar this was my first one but I did alot of research and now am able to play 3 songs I have had the guitar for 7-8 days now nothing is broken and the guitar sounds alright it plays and tunes fine probably looses tune every 2-3 days the strings are something you're gonna need to replace day one this shouldn't be a guitar you buy for your kid who wants to learn this is a guitar you should buy if you're ready to tinker upgrade and trouble shoot basically learn all the ins ...

The strings and the cable are the only two things that really need to be replaced the cable gives alot of buzz and feed back and the strings bend when not tuned but after those small replacements it plays fine I would recommend not buying a 10W amp and just investing a little more money and atleast getting a 20W practice just so you can get close to a more "authentic" sound. With all that being said it's an amazing price for a instrument that plays and looks good while doing it. the jack input on my guitar was loose so I tightened it that was really the only issue overall I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase and don't think there's a better deal out there this is probably your best bet for a affordable electric guitar. TLDR: You're gonna have to buy a Good amp New strings a Better strap New Cable and Tighten/Loosen also level a few things to get a overall decent sounding Guitar but in my opinion it's worth it. Don't buy for your young kids.

The main reason I bought it was because it looks like the guitar that my father had and it brought back fond memories. The fit and finish is nice for an instrument of this price point. My only complaint is that the tone controls don't do anything. From what I have read, this is because of the use of poor quality potentiometers. I will eventually replace them with quality pots. This is definitely worth the money. it is a Great guitar for beginners, and with a few mods can be a great guitar for more experienced players. Im upgrading the tuning pegs, pickups and roller tree. a little work on the neck and frets. So for less than 150.00 and a little work this guitar is better than some twice the amount.

I have to buy nut blanks and completely remake the nuts for these guitars. The low e and high e are cut in a way the strings will not stay on fretboard when trying to play. I build and repair guitars. I purchased this guitar to mod it it out. Once I shape and finnish the necks, replace the pickups, and make new nuts I will review the product. Got the guitar and decided to black it out. New black hardware all around. Back of neck was pretty rough so a little sanding and it was good to go. Truss rod adjustment to straighten the neck a little bit and set string height and intonation and it plays great. Really like the sound from the neck pickup but the bridge is a little harsh. Original tuners were not great but I've seen worse. Very happy with it now.

Bought for one of my brothers half my age, he loves it. I set it up for him and there were a couple minor things I could leave a negative comment on. Restringing was a little clunky, just cause the saddles were kinda all over the place trying to get through. Also when strummed there was a reverberating echo from the springs in the back, so I put in some of the flimsy packing foam. Otherwise, I thought it was a pretty good value and my four brothers all have a guitar too now.

The guitar worked right away and did not have any electrical issues. As to expect from the price, I needed to dress the frets and file the nut slots. At first, I could not fit the wammy bar. Bang for buck is outstanding! It's not gonna compare to a $2000+ bespoke guitar, but I'm genuinely impressed with this. Highly recommended for anyone that's just getting started or just wants something they can entertain themselves with. The fret ends did need a very light touch up with a sanding pad and some steel wool to remove some sharp edges and take care of some light dirt and rust (it did have to cross the Pacific, after all), but nothing major. Probably only took me 10 minutes. The ...

The nut block was remarkably good for something so inexpensive, requiring just a very light touch with sandpaper and some graphite in the slots to get it into fantastic shape. Holds tune well right out of the box, but the intonation was a bit off--that's normal for any new guitar though. This thing is also fantastic if you want to learn how to do upgrades or repairs without dropping a lot of cash out of the gate.

I was looking for an inexpensive guitar with which to practice fixing guitars. This model is beautiful and very light, which my body enjoys. It had a few things that needed addressed, like a slight tweak in the neck and lowering the action and a bit of fret sprout, but it was well worth the money. It is a great entry level guitar. I wish they had been around when I started playing 55 years ago. But they are now and that will benefit all of those wanting to get into playing guitar but don't have ...

This is a first instrument I bought for my grandnephew, it is pretty descent out of the box but I did polish the frets, minor string height adjustments and set the intonation I think this guitar will take him down the road a few years until he's ready for a better quality guitar.

The guitar arrived safely. Intonation had to be set, action lowered, tuners replaced, lightly sanded the back of the neck. Fret work is surprisingly very good. After these adjustments the guitar plays and sounds great. Great low priced platform to do mods with.

To my surprise it was actually reasonably well set up, so I just added some graphite to the nut, tuned it up, and off we went. It doesn't have quite as loud a tone as some of my other guitars, but that may be because of the single coil pickups. When I "loosen" the truss rod (lefty loosey) to add relief and lower the action,I get a LOT of resistance, but when I tighten the rod (righty tighty) for a flatter neck, the resistance goes away to nothing. It's backwards... bizarro. I had to lower the action, and the resistance seriously made me worry I was going to brake the neck, so they lose a star. On a funny note, Fedex for some reason shipped the guitar from Los Angeles, to Alabama, then back to Los Angles to my home, kinda weird.

Very good for the price. Pickups are under powered. Decent build quality. Some string buzz that I can not get rid of. Comfortable neck and fast playability. Holds tune fairly well if you don't use the whammy bar.

Nothing a little polishing compound couldn't take care of. Strings were stuck in sustain block when I tried to change them. Ended up changing out the whole bridge with a squire bridge/block I had left over. Original bridge was VERY light. Only found 2 high frets, filed and recrowned them. Polished all of the frets due to tool marks ...

Nut was cut comically high and made of plastic so I made a new bone nut to replace. Tuners were so-so. I disassembled and hit them with some teflon lube. They are much smoother now but still eventually worth an upgrade. Electronics are what you'd expect, serviceable, but not extraordinary. May upgrade in the future if budget permits. The unit was playable as it arrived, but after a couple hours of work to get things to my liking, it's a total sleeper, very satisfied for $70 shipped. Will be going after one of the telecasters in the near future for another fun tinkering/upgrade project.

I like this guitar. Non playable as arrived but I expected to do a complete setup on it. Bad strings, cannot intonate low E, new strings coming. Will see if this fixed intonation error. I like the fully adjustable bridge. Minor mislocation of fret 14 by 0.012 inches but I think that won't affect playability.

Very good value and plays nicely without a lot of set up. My main complaint is the finish, you can see the circular buffer marks on the front of guitar but not a big deal. I would buy another and I just might.

My story is a little complicated, so please bear with me. I originally ordered and received the Sunset colored Strat model with black pickguard and maple fingerboard. When it arrived, I found unfortunately that, somewhere along the line, a couple of the screws bolting the neck onto the body had been torn partially out of their holes, leaving splintered wood, and indicating that the guitar had experienced a fairly substantial trauma of some sort. Otherwise it was a great-looking guitar. Customer Service was very nice (via email), and we quickly worked out an agreement under which I decided on the same color, only in the Telecaster style, and I paid the additional $20.00 to cover the cost differential on the Tele. And, rather than having me send back the damaged Strat model, the representative told me I could just keep it. I'll probably give it to a friend who likes to tinker, and see if he can do some repair work and pass it on to someone in need. I have since received the Tele-style model, and it is very nice. I decided to upgrade the bridge saddles, but basically I found that 1) the neck and fretwork are good; and 2) the nut is actually cut with reasonable accuracy-- hooray! I put a new set of 10's on it, and it plays and sounds great!

It definitely has a Stratocaster style sound. Once i dialed in the same type rig Jimmy Hendrix used, The glarry guitar had no problems with getting that old strat tone. The pickups are pretty quiet and work perfect when useing studio expander gates and noise filters. The guitar is as quiet as a peep. G ...
