I'm really happy with this bass guitar! I must admit, I was a little wary due to the price but I wanted a bass to sit in the studio just to lay down some stuff for demos. I bought it expecting it to need some work but was pleasantly surprised. The finish on my bass is absolutely perfect. No flaws in paintwork, no dings. It was spot on. Couldn't be happier. The neck is straight and extremely comfortable to play, even for me who is very much a normal guitarist so used to thinner necks. The fret ends aren't quite as rounded as I personally prefer, but they're dressed to a perfectly good standard and I will round them off myself. The underside of the nut can be a little sharp so I will also round that off. The pickups: I was expecting to need to swap these out immediately but I'm actually really happy with how they sound. The neck pickup is rich and full. The bridge pickup is a touch trebley for my liking, but that is managed with either the tone knob or blending a little neck into it. It came straight out of the box with a nice action and after a day while the strings settled the tuning stability is fantastic. Will definitely be recommending, and trying out some of Glarry's other offerings!

I saw this on Allen Brown's YouTube channel (Bully Thakidd), and thought I would see if this bass lived up to the hype. This thing is playable right outside the box. It looks good and sounds pretty. If you wanted to set it up, it would be cake. The neck is thick like a P-Bass, which I don't really mind since I started with a P-Bass. There also seems to be a grounding/shielding problem, but YouTube tutorials could easily walk you through fixing the hum. The gig bag won't protect the bass from har ...

Came with a tiny bit of fret buzz on one or two frets, but nothing a 5 minute set-up couldn't fix - and most basses need a little adjustment out of the box so that's to be expected. Maybe, in years to come, I might want to get a guitar servicing pro to tweak a couple of bits, after all, it is wood and steel which can be adjusted if need be - it's up to me to make it sound good. This is my first bass, and I love it. Perfect price for learning the instrument! It comes with strings (that's how beginner I am). Took it to some friends who play professionally and they all agreed that it is a great quality for the price. No problems or defects. Three other friends are planning to purchase this as a secondary instrument (they mainly play keys, drums, etc.).

I am very happy with my jazz bass, for the price,you can't beat it. Straight out of the box it plays and sounds fine, intonation was even close. I'm going to use it as a mod platform, but for my home recording needs, it's good the way it is. I highly recommend Glarry instruments for beginners, people on a budget, or folks like me who love to tinker and enjoy modding guitars without breaking the bank.

This bass is shockingly awesome (for the price). One thing I will note with cheap instruments, is you are ususally reaching into a grab bag of mysteries. You can get a perfectly fine bass that feels great like me, or you could recieve a crappy cable harness, bad pickups, or just outright bad craftsmanship. After I got it set up, tightened the truss rod a bit, levelled the pickups, and fixed the intonation and action, this thing plays awesome. There are a few buzzy frets, but that can be fixed with a mallet. Just remember, any issues you find, are likely to be so minor and fixable, it can easily be written off with the price tag!

All of these basses (I bought 3) play great and are excellent vehicules for upgrades. It took me 10 minutes to get used to the thicker neck. This was the problem for the Jazz Bass only.

For the price it's a good instrument. Tuners are a little hard to turn, pickups not high output. Not a very resonant bass, strap button fell off I repaired that. Needs setup I'll buy better strings before I do that. Fretboard it dry frets are sharp at ends and not polished. Nut is plastic and sharp ends. Bridge is good. Neck is very heavy not balanced very well. Overall not terrible for $80 but needs work. Fortunately I have lots of experience in the luthier field.

I've seen $130 Rogue basses with two-piece glued necks! Pure junk. Frets are well dressed with zero sprout. Arrived detuned as it should. Custom packaging ensured safe delivery. I ordered after hours on Friday before the holiday weekend and had it in hand by Wednesday! I made a few slight adjustments for string height and intonation as the bridge had obviously not been setup. Standard procedure for any new instrument, and easily accomplished with the included tools. If you are not familiar with setup, check out Dave's World Of Fun Stuff on YouTube. The toughest choice was color. It had to be either the dark blue or the burlywood (wife calls it girlywood LOL). The black trim killed the blue for me. Solid transparent blue would be killer. More, some frets are not leveled with the surrounding frets, for example, my 13th frets are higher than the 12th, so when I play G on the 12th fret - G string, I ended up getting G#. That happens at some p ...
