Better off getting an inexpensive drive pedal separately if needed. The clean tones are fine. Has enough volume for a practice amp. Seems to have a decent speaker magnet given the weight. The guitar was playable in the cowboy chord area although the action will need to be lowered for upper fret play. The strings will also not last very long. While the nut measures at 42mm, it hangs off the edge a bit on each side so the playable size is more like 40mm which is good for children and adults with shorter fingers. The tuners are a decent ratio and tune up very well. Aside for a small rough patch on the neck, the fit and finish are fine. A few swipes with fine grit sandpaper fixed it easily. The only other real complaint is that the middle single coil pickup is either very weak, or not hooked up correctly. Barely audible compared to the two humbuckers. No matter for me as I really do not need it. For those who have a notched neck checker, the Fender scale works fine on this. Overall, it is a good beginner guitar kit for the price. And for those who do not know how to change strings or do basic guitar setup, there are tons of free videos online. It really is not that hard. Enjoy!

I only received the guitar. I'm not sure if I should be expecting a separate package with the Amp but I have sent an email.Other than than that the condition is great and I'm satisfied overall.

This set is great to play at home and rock out to some tunes. It comes with a whammy bar that's fun as hell to use. The AMP has small feedback issues, but it's definitely a little powerhouse. Overall this guitar set is made for rockstars in the making. Great for beginners

I didn't really dislike any part of the guitar it sounds good and like I said before it's easy on the fingertips and I especially like that because I can play a whole lot longer all recommended for beginners and lifelong players

Just wanted to say this guitar is awesome only thing is I can't seem to make the whammy bar work other then that it's a beautiful guitar works great it did come in a day late but it's worth it.

I see this touted as a good beginner guitar, and I have to disagree with that. To be clear, that's not to say it's horrible or even bad. It's just that it needs work to truly shine, and some of that might be a bit much for someone just starting out. The good things first. It's very light, and very comfortable to play. It has a REALLY nice natural tone. The notes ring off with a nice, low richness. The pickups are decent, too. At least I have no problems with mine. The not so good...the action ...

The strings are garbage, and the tuners aren't much better. The nut on mine was way too high, making the first fret almost unplayable. On the plus side, these are all easy fixes and might not apply evenly to every guitar. At the very least, get a set of decent strings and change them right off the bat. Don't even mess with what's on there out of the box. Also, new tuners are probably a must. The nut will probably need to be sanded down or replaced, and the action adjusted. So, if you're comfortable with that, or at least aren't afraid of screwing up your guitar trying to fix it, then this is a good pick up. With a little work, it will be very much worth it.

the guitar is absolutely amazing but the amp is extremely loud and has a shaky sound whenever the overdrive is turned on, not a buzzing but sounds a lot like a bumper dragging on the road

Solid kit for a beginner. Good sound, good amp. The strap is flimsy and uncomfortable but it's cool they include one in the first place. The bag isnt anything special, I mainly use it to keep dust off the guitar. The bag came with a hole in it, but with it not being the most amazing material I wasnt suprised or angry. I'm on the smaller side, 5ft 0in, so when looking for a guitar to purchase I wanted something small. The strings are strong and stay tuned. I hadn't played for a few days and when picking it back up I barely needed to adjust the tuners. Overall it's a great kit for the money to dip your toes into playing. Even with the flimsy and cheap material of the gig bag and strap, the fact its included is killer in my opinion. Highly recommend.

The guitar was well packaged for shipment - showed no signs of damage by rough handling. Unfortunately, upon opening the package, it was clear I'd been sent a guitar that had been sitting for a bit after being built. Having said that, everything was addressable with a string change and quick set-up. After the setup and string change, the guitar plays quite well, having no dead frets or fret buzz. Overall, I would recommend the product to others - with a caveat that the instrument most likely will need a little TLC to be ready to play.

This is my second instrument from flares and as a whole they make very impressive starter instruments ; however, the frets closest to the body are out of tune just like the first instrument I bought. Still a very good product for the price

I'm just a beginner but I really like the way this one looks and how it comes with all the basic equipment to learn with. Compared to other guitars the price is great, and it ships fast and very well packaged. Not five star worthy though because one of the strings came MUCH looser than the rest so now I have to figure out how to fix it before I can play.

For the price can't beat it however the fret board had a crack and so the 19th is raised due too this and causing unwanred rattling and buzz. still cheap and decent after a set up played and I still use it
