Very satisfied! I ordered a fretless bass to be first of its kind to try out. For the price, the bass plays great right out of the box. Sounds great too! Mind you, I do have a few Fender basses, including an American standard. Keep up the good work!

Just got my Glarry GP fretless bass today. Disappointed. The E string tuner is completely loose and both pickups were collapsed inside the body. When the string is loosened the tuner rotates about 45 degrees. The pickups are rattling around inside the body. Oh, well.

When I received my GP fretless Bass, there was a problem with the pickups not being mounted. Upon contacting Glarry, Lin was super helpful, friendly and expedited a solution very quickly. Glarry is sending me a replacement at no cost. Kudos for excellent customer service and I wish I could change the star rating but it seems I can't. I hold Glarry in the most high esteem. Thank you Lin!

Great bass guitar at any price. This bass guitar is a beautiful instrument with rich tone and great sound. Light weight makes it very playable. Recorded with it right out of the box. Definitely recommend.

I had my doubts. But in the end it's a great playing bass. I was in the market for a fretless. Didn't want to spend thousands and find I couldn't play it. So this option showed me a fretless is bad ass and now look forward to getting a 5 string next. I did have an issue with the tuners. They sent me replacements quick. Great customer service. Thanks Glarry.

I'm sorry to write a for rather than a five because I hope it wasn't the shipping provider's problem but my purchase arrived with a large dent hole in the box. Everything else appears to be great!

Very satisfied with this purchase. As many have mentioned, you simply cannot beat the quality of this instrument at this price point. Past reviews have mentioned string height being a bit high but I found it to be very comfortable. The instrument plays well, sounds good, looks good. What more can you ask? Order and delivery processes were very smooth and easy. I will definitely look into other instruments in the Glarry catalog. And there are some pretty good YouTube videos out there which can he ...

The box came slightly damaged. It looked like someone tried to open it. Both ends of the box was crushed. I didn't like the fact that it had what was written on the box. Up on opening the box, the Styrofoam was stuck and was basically destroyed trying to get it out. Now onto the bass...the bass was in great shape. No scratches or dents on the body or neck so that was good. After tuning the bass it played great. The neck straight and the string height was almost perfect for me. It played really ...

I'm a bassist with 43 years of experience and I already own 35 basses so I definitely didn't 'need' another bass. I ordered the fretless with no expectations because of such a low price. Upon opening the box I realized this bass looks good. I changed the strings to flatwounds, set the bridge, tweaked the truss rod and it was good to go. I never expected a satin finish neck but I've got to tell you...I really like this bass. Well worth the phenomenal low price. If you're expecting an Alembic then ...

Upon unboxing my guitar, the overall appearance of my fretless bass was stunning! The burlywood finish is beautiful and I was well pleased with its light weight. But after tuning the bass, I found it unplayable. The combination of bridge and neck settings caused the strings to bottom out heavily on the neck in the vicinity of the nut, requiring some extensive setting up to render it playable, something that a novice player would likely have trouble doing. but once the set-up was finally acco ...

This bass is incredible for the price you pay. I did a little set up on it, and it holds a tune and plays great now. The pickups sound incredible! Almost seems too good to be true, but this instrument really is a winner. Sounds great through an amp, mixer or interface. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I haven't quite been able to get the intonation right on the open G string. Maybe needs some replacement parts or strings to achieve that. It's also obviously not a fender jazz or a nice ri ...

Bought this with upgrading in mind.Got it on a Friday and gigged with it Saturday. No set up straight to the stage. Stayed in tune and sounded like a classic P style bass punchy and growly. The high-end of its tone was distinct and spot on, plenty of bottom with natural wood midrange cutting through the mix. I used it with my Musicman Bongo HS that day.

Dammed Fantastic! Playable right out of the box, great action. Quality is there, no issues at all. Going to go with tape wound strings but the round wound ones with it are quality. Very pretty too. Fret markers are one the fret line, not between like on fretted basses. Wanted a fretless and there is nothing even close to this price. 5 Stars & a bullet. Thanks!

Finally got my hands on one of these basses! I think I've wanted a fretless bass now for forty years! If you want to try a fretless bass and you're on a budget, this is the way to go! Very happy!

I am a musician but not a bass player so cannot judge from the point of view of a pro. However, the instrument fulfills my needs and I'm practicing with it daily. It's built solidly and needed no adjustment in order for me to play it. It was a good buy and serves my needs. Thank you, Glarry. Jim Ryan

The Good: This is a steal for the money. Out of the box it was a playable, solid instrument that a beginner could learn fretless bass on. It holds tune well, has minimal neck dive, and good quality wood. I was surprised and how light the bass felt and the neck was thin and fast. The pickup is solid and wiring was well done. The fit and finish was excellent. I would recommend this to someone wanting to learn fretless. The Bad: The nut is pure junk. I replaced it with a bone nut for under $10. T ...

Awesome value! Of course there are a few issues: The fingerboard seems a little soft. My impulse is to want to put some kind of finish on it. The lack of fret lines on the side of the fretboard makes playing intonation more of a challenge than it needs to be. I'm not sure why they would bother to put the dots but not lines where you actually put your fingers. The pickups (I assume cheap ceramics, though I haven't yet looked) lack the low end definition that I'm used to. I ordered some P-Bass pic ...

Customer service was great ! All of my questions were answered at once. My instrument arrived well packaged and damaged free. The instrument was beautiful and only needed tuning to make music and music is what its about.

Sure, the hardware (tuners, bridge, knobs) are a little on the "affordable" side...however-it plays very well-especially for the price! Most peeps that purchase this bass will probably swap out their own electronics and hardware anyway. And I don't have any complaints about it being too "neck-heavy"...the necks could probably be a smidge thinner in circumference-but, at $99, who's complaining?

This instrument surpasses my expectations. It's solidly built, wonderfully lightweight, metal parts solids, volume and tone have absolutely no static, output is equal to my Fender Jazz Bass USA but it's more fun to play than the Jazz! There are some weird issues at the nut. It's concave which is odd. But for the price, it is a terrific, well built, fun ax

I am highly impressed with this bass. I bought it on a lark because I'd heard some good things about Glarry instruments and wow, i am glad I did. So, for under $100 I got a fretless bass that is incredible. It sounds great, plays great, and is of higher quality than some other company's instruments. I suggest you try one. The one, and only one, drawback is the bag that comes with it is basically useless. It will cover the bass but there is no padding so it won't protect the instrument from ...

As others have stated, it's hard to fault this instrument at the price point. Build quality appears to be exceptional, fit and finish are also fantastic. In its stock state it is extremely playable and very musical, and despite having inexpensive ceramic pickups it's punchy, articulate, and resonant, with a reasonable amount of sustain. Don't think you have to be in any hurry to do mods. One point worth mentioning. Both the body and Pick guard do not follow standard fender lines. The horns are s ...

First of all, it is a great deal. 1) UPS, the tracking was not good. I got first day and then nothing until I got "out for delivery" five days later. 2) The volume pot was wired wrong. The pickup wire was soldered to the taper lug on the volume pot. The jack should have that connection. 3) The electronic cavities is not shielded, which I did not expected. But now fixed. 4) It would be a good help, if all the frets would have been marked. I did that with tape, huge difference for me with the ...

I've been playing for over 55 years...guitar, bass, keys even banjo at times. I grabbed this 4 string fretless at Glarry's amazing price and I figured I'd give it a whirl. It did not disappoint. I've owned a number of brand name basses and this one holds its own beautifully especially as a fretless. Of course I'll set it up with my fave strings and get the action down to where I like it...that being said, it's absolutely playable right out of the box. Can't wait to try more of their products! I just received the fretless bass guitar about a week ago. I was looking for a beginners type since I wasn't sure if I'd like playing it. I love it. I thought there would be no indicators whatsoever in regards to fret markings making it a real task to play. But, there were markings for the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th & 12th frets. Now I'm looking to get an acoustic guitar from this company. The bass sounds great and I can't even really tell its for beginners. Thank you Glarry

It was a good deal, the quality of the instrument its has just enough good level to practice at home even to jam whit the band, the finishing isnt to WOW! But at yhe end you can enjoy and get fun whit this great fretless bass sounding like a real bassman. One thing as advice...you can use string cleaner or conditioner to smooth your digitation because its little bit dry from the beginnin

Amazing quality, especially for the price (and free shipping)! Unbelievably unexpected great sound even unplugged which is unusual for most fretless basses. Highly recommend if you are familiar with a fretless and want to master the art of playing in tune (which is not for the faint of art)! Instead of buying even a classic vibe Jaco for 4 times the money, I'd go this way first! I suspect that these guitars will become highly sought after. Can't figure out how they can afford to do this but glad ...
