I'm really happy with this bass guitar! I must admit, I was a little wary due to the price but I wanted a bass to sit in the studio just to lay down some stuff for demos. I bought it expecting it to need some work but was pleasantly surprised. The finish on my bass is absolutely perfect. No flaws in paintwork, no dings. It was spot on. Couldn't be happier. The neck is straight and extremely comfortable to play, even for me who is very much a normal guitarist so used to thinner necks. The fret ends aren't quite as rounded as I personally prefer, but they're dressed to a perfectly good standard and I will round them off myself. The underside of the nut can be a little sharp so I will also round that off. The pickups: I was expecting to need to swap these out immediately but I'm actually really happy with how they sound. The neck pickup is rich and full. The bridge pickup is a touch trebley for my liking, but that is managed with either the tone knob or blending a little neck into it. It came straight out of the box with a nice action and after a day while the strings settled the tuning stability is fantastic. Will definitely be recommending, and trying out some of Glarry's other offerings!

I saw this on Allen Brown's YouTube channel (Bully Thakidd), and thought I would see if this bass lived up to the hype. This thing is playable right outside the box. It looks good and sounds pretty. If you wanted to set it up, it would be cake. The neck is thick like a P-Bass, which I don't really mind since I started with a P-Bass. There also seems to be a grounding/shielding problem, but YouTube tutorials could easily walk you through fixing the hum. The gig bag won't protect the bass from har ...

Maybe, in years to come, I might want to get a guitar servicing pro to tweak a couple of bits, after all, it is wood and steel which can be adjusted if need be - it's up to me to make it sound good. This is my first bass, and I love it. Perfect price for learning the instrument! It comes with strings (that's how beginner I am). Took it to some friends who play professionally and they all agreed that it is a great quality for the price. No problems or defects. Three other friends are planning to purchase this as a secondary instrument (they mainly play keys, drums, etc.).

This bass is shockingly awesome (for the price). One thing I will note with cheap instruments, is you are ususally reaching into a grab bag of mysteries. You can get a perfectly fine bass that feels great like me, or you could recieve a crappy cable harness, bad pickups, or just outright bad craftsmanship. After I got it set up, tightened the truss rod a bit, levelled the pickups, and fixed the intonation and action, this thing plays awesome. There are a few buzzy frets, but that can be fixed with a mallet. Just remember, any issues you find, are likely to be so minor and fixable, it can easily be written off with the price tag!

All of these basses (I bought 3) play great and are excellent vehicules for upgrades. It took me 10 minutes to get used to the thicker neck. This was the problem for the Jazz Bass only.

I've seen $130 Rogue basses with two-piece glued necks! Pure junk. Frets are well dressed with zero sprout. Arrived detuned as it should. Custom packaging ensured safe delivery. I ordered after hours on Friday before the holiday weekend and had it in hand by Wednesday! I made a few slight adjustments for string height and intonation as the bridge had obviously not been setup. Standard procedure for any new instrument, and easily accomplished with the included tools. If you are not familiar with setup, check out Dave's World Of Fun Stuff on YouTube. The toughest choice was color. It had to be either the dark blue or the burlywood (wife calls it girlywood LOL). The black trim killed the blue for me. Solid transparent blue would be killer. The control knobs worked smoothly and the pickups sounded great.The finish sparkled and shined and the set up was spot on except for a little intonation work. Took me all of five minutes and the Glarry Jazz bass played in tune and played like butter. I found only one flaw in the whole guitar, the head end of the fret board was not cut straight b ...

I'm a 40-year veteran bassist and I'm extremely happy with my glarry precision bass and Jazz Bass. I cannot believe the sound and quality I received at such a small price. I will be using these bases in live performances as well as some recordings along with my music man and Fender basses. I also purchased a Telecaster for my son and he's extremely happy with it. My new j-bass arrived promptly and in great condition. After a minor setup procedure and a bit of polishing, it was time to play. I was immediately impressed with the tonal variations produced through my amp with slight adjustments with the tone and volume controls. I also really like the feeling and playability of the neck. I recently purchased this bass. When it came in, the pickups were damaged, but customer service gave me no problems. They sent me a replacement. The replacement came in, and I am hard pressed to find anything wrong with it. I adjusted the action and tuned it up, and I was playing the bass. It sounds great and feels great. The neck is straight and isn't as fat as the Glarry Precision Bass (which I also have). No dead frets. No grounding issues. You do have to remove the strings and the pick gua ...

Furthermore, this is more for guitar players than specific to this bass....I think it improves your playing. It makes you stretch the fretboard because those easier to reach notes on the extra strings on the guitar are not there. But you'll be able to apply that to your playing. And any guitar player knows your tone can influence and inspire your playing---and the bass notes playing bass do just that. They make you want to get funky. And it also improves your rhythm, in some ways you are another percussion instrument, but able to play distinct notes. One more note on the quality of the instrument... I think its so well built I plan to order one of the glarry Tele style guitars in the very near future.

I bought the Jazz Bass in White. Body has scratches by the bridge where the strings load in. Fit and finish are good, neck joint is tight and clean. Neck is not a Jazz Bass profile, it's kind of in between the Jazz and Precision feel, slightly chunky, but very playable. Over all balance of this Bass is good, it's not neck heavy at all. I use a padded shoulder strap and it keeps the Bass right where I like it. I would say this Bass plays better than a Squier Affinity Series, but not better than The Classic Vibe or Vintage Modified. Is it worth $80?...…….Yes, I would say it is! I'm going to use it as my Church Band Bass, I'm more comfortable taking the Glarry Jazz Bass instead of my $700 Fender Mustang. Good job Glarry, this instrument exceeded my expectations.

Wow , shipping was quick. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised ! The instrument was pretty flawless. I had to do a bit of set up. Action was a too high and two strings needed the intonation adjusted. After that It was a darn decent bass. Pick ups don't have a switch but that's no big deal. Dial in what you like and go. Definitely a bargain .

Just got the j bass in the sunset finish . 3 guitars and 2 basses later and I've yet to be disappointed ! I've been playing 45+ years and you couldn't get anything this inexpensive for the quality back in the day ! Rock on Glarry !
