Lets see, I was waiting awhile before I added a review. Was looking for a inexpensive fretless bass for a while, played a buddy's like 30 yrs ago, liked it. So my quest to find one that didn't break the bank incase I did no longer want it. Well I came across Glarry looking through Google. Lets see, I was waiting awhile before I added a review. Was looking for a inexpensive fretless bass for a while, played a buddy's like 30 yrs ago, liked it. So my quest to find one that didn't break the bank incase I did no longer want it. Well I came across Glarry looking through Google. Well here I go for 99 bucks to my door, if it even plays somewhat that's a cheap try. I got it in like 2 days, opened the box and unwrapped everything. WOW surprise number one, the finish was really nice, the feel of the neck was also ok, had a little neck setup, which was no big deal. Well lets try it on an amp, I run a Peavey 1000 watt head, 4 x 10 and an 118 18", the only answer is WOW thunder plus I was really surprised on the tone that it throws out. The playability is good, there are some odds and ends but remember what do you want for 99 bucks. It's not a Fender, or Ibanez, but it plays fine. I play professionally and semi - pro. been doing this for 55 years, will be 70 in a few months, not slowing down for no one. this is really a nice axe, light weight sound good and plays easy. Love it, will buy another from Glarry.

This is a nice bass... Just a bit of set up...and it plays well. I can get really great sounds out of this fretless. Really sound instrument. Good purchase

Really great bass for the money - had some minor quibbles, but nothing that wasn't fixable. The edge of the pickguard needed deburring all the way around, and the nut slots were a bit rough. Quite a few of the pickguard screws were angled off-center, there was a ton of sawdust and polishing compound underneath, and some of the stain on the neck came off on my hands at first. Gave the fretboard a coat of mineral oil, lubed up the tuners, and gave it a good setup (nice that it came with a neck shi ...

For a sub-$100 bass, I'm impressed that I didn't have to do any more extensive repairs.

Very satisfied with this purchase. Excellent intro instrument into the fretless world. Arrived in good condition and playable out of the box. Neck heavy but that was expected when paying such a low price. Proves that you can make decent guitars without charging a fortune.

I have been playing fretted instruments for 44 years and bass for 20 of those years, but I have never played a frettless bass in my life until I decided to try this one. it was inexpensive enough to risk the failure. I LOVE IT! I was worried that I wouldn't know where the notes were but my ears and muscle memory were true to the sound. It feels natural and I found that I wasn't even looking at where my fingers are. The hard part will be when I actually play it at church in the praise band: I hav ...

I'm a studio & session bassist with a P bass, a J bass and an EB/MM and I can't say enough about this fretless bass! It showed up in 4 days, packed nicely in the box inside the included gig bag. I took it out of the box, tuned it & started playing immediately. It was already set-up and ready to go. The strings are a half-round that feel nice on the fingers without gouging the fingerboard. And that thing is thicker than what's on my P-bass. It's really light compared to the usual bass. So much that you'll think it'll sound crappy but, wait until you plug in. This thing is loud if you want it to be. The pickups are the usual P style but punchy and clear FOR A $100 BASS! The tone control works, yes, it works and is more of a treble roll-off and the lows are not that muddy. The volume control has a good range as well. It's not just 0 to 1 to 8, it's got a nice gradual increase or decrease from 1-10. And the finish is incredible, Seriously, no flaws, or inclusions anywhere in the paint. (I have the Black cherry burst) I'm so happy with the quality of this fretless that I plan on buying 2 more to give to my friends as gifts. Again, FOR A $100 FRETLESS BASS you can't go wrong especially if you're learning to play a fretless. And if you want to get into guitar repair these guitars are a good place to start for an axe you'd be learning on.
