The rosin was broken and made a mess when I opened it. The body of the violin is a beautifully antiqued matt natural. Overall, not bad.

Arrived well except the rosin was shattered so I'll have to buy some locally. Very nice that it came with tuner and extra strings. Turning peg is a lil loose so I had to really push it in to hold string in place. All in all worth the price to me.

The pegs do move easily, so be sure to push them in before tuning. As the violin gets used to your environment, the pegs will slip less and less. Overall, I like it.

The GV403 Violin is the second instrument I've purchased from Glarry. The instrument is a great value for the money and is fully functional for a budget beginner or student. The sound post came loose during shipping. This is not uncommon in any violin as it is not a glued-in part. Customer service was outstanding. Violin itself is very nice. I'm not very familiar with the instrument and what should be the normal. The only thing that I thought was off was the hair on the bow was pretty loose. My daughter is 12 and loves this product. She has not played an instrument before so this is a great beginners product.

Good violin for the price but not looking like the picture. The description of GV403 says matte finish, but it clearly is not. Sounds decent for a beginner. Overall a great value for someone who wants to try out the violin without spending a lot of money.

PERFECT. My son insisted on violin lessons. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Are you really sure?" "Yes" and "yes" and "yes" again. So I bought this violin and my son got a kick out of it. It comes in a beautiful set with all the accessories. A perfect beginners package. His teacher got a kick out of it, too, and said it was just fine to get started.

Lovely violin, nice sound for a beginner violin. the pictures themselves don't do the violin credit. definitely recommend getting this if you want to get a good beginners instrument.

I got this for a first time violin player, I didn't want to spend a lot, but I wanted a quality instrument. Thats what I got! The violin is well built, sounds great, was packaged securely and arrived on time.

I wanted to start playing violin again and wanted a fairly cheap entry level one. This is good for beginners and people picking it back up. Decent sounds quality and case is a lightweight travel canvas one so not too heavy.

Once I started playing I was able to get some clear and very resonant sounds from the violin. I used Youtube on my first day to learn about twinkle twinkle little stars, and it felt so good.

I've always wanted to learn to play a stringed instrument, but never really looked into it seriously. I have several friends who play professionally and I learned from them that good violins can run into the 6 figure range, so I never pursued it seriously. It may not be the best, but I think its adequate for a total beginner.

It came ready to play, nearly right out of the case, I did have to make some minor tuning adjustments, out of my own personal preferences, than anything else. This one was a bit smaller than I thought it would be), and sound quality is pretty good for such a small instrument, though, I felt it could have been better. But overall, this self-taught beginner is very happy.

I think this violin is great. It came with rosin and everything else my daughter needed to practice. For anyone interested in getting a violin and not sure if your kid will for sure stick with it, this is a wonderful option.

If you are a beginner, this is great. I've always had an interest in the violin , but I've always heard that it is a difficult to learn, and never picked it up. Until recently, but I still had some reservations and didn't want to pay a large amount of money for something I may or may not play again. So this was perfect. It has everything you need (although you might want to get better strings, I did, along with some better bows).
